Not cheap and thin, but not super soft either, December 15, 2011 This review is from: Egyptian Cotton 650 Thread Count Oversized Olympic Queen Sheet Set Stripe, Taupe (Kitchen) I bought these sheets to replace the sheets we have had for our Sleep Number bed for 7 years. They finally tore and needed to be replaced. When these sheets arrived I was pleased to see that they were not thin and cheaply made. They are thick and seem to be good quality, however after washing them they did not get any softer. They are not abrasive they are just stiff. I am hoping that as we continue to sleep on them and wash them they will get softer. Afterall, I am comparing them to a set of sheets that has been used and washed for 7 years!!
